Writing in Ghost on Android: πŸ‘Ž

In an effort to blog more, I tried writing a post on my phone last week. Unfortunately, I encountered a few issues. I don't know whether the root of the problem is Android or Ghost, but it didn't work well in either Firefox or Chrome.

The main problem was that the editor's more advanced functions, like modifying blocks or styling text, require you to highlight or long press on the item in question. In my experience, the OS's pop-up took precedence over Ghost every single time, in both browsers. I would see Ghost's pop-up briefly before the OS took over.

Additionally, I couldn't delete a block by placing the cursor after it and tapping backspace, as I would have expected. Long pressing on the block seemed to have no effect. There was no way to highlight it or get a menu pop-up.

I don't use Ghost professionally, so this isn't a big deal. Instead, I will jot any ideas in Obsidian (or Joplin, also hosted on PikaPods) until I can develop them further on a real computer (or, equally likely, I will simply forget about them).
