I'm printing Gridfinity
Zack Freedman, hacker and prototyper extraordinaire, came up with the Gridfinity system a few years ago. Here's the launch video. It's pretty simple: a modular, grid-based system of base plates and containers that you can print at home.
When I got my 3D printer last year, I started printing Gridfinity almost right away. I'm hyperfocused right now on optimizing my office and workshop/darkroom storage, so I'm printing up a TON of Gridfinity. Here are some of my recent favorites:
- Field Notes bin
- Gridfinity desktop pack
- Gridfinity lite (bins optimized to save filament)
- Gridfinity Raskog baseplate
In fact, here's my Gridfinity collection on Printables. I have yet to design my own components, but I collect all the cool and useful bits I find here for later reference.
Happy printing!
